JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide leadership to a team of engineers and designers to ensure performance and reliability. Partner with product management team on product definition, manage operational challenges and the execution, quality of the development process and deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide overall leadership and direction to the team ensuring on-time delivery of a high-quality, reliable, on-time product that meets customer needs.

•  Hand’s on engineering, design, development, and reviews as needed using Solidworks and Creo in the mechanical design of equipment which includes packaging, cables, for electronics.
•  Estimate work efforts and perform to those estimations.
• Assist with business development efforts by providing product expertise and solutions as needed.
• Interviewing, performance evaluations, conflict resolution.
• Manage budgets and schedules.
• Performs daily log monitoring and reporting of project activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Expert working knowledge of Solidworks and PTC Pro Engineer or Creo
• 4-6 years of experience in Design and Engineering using CAD Software
• Expertise with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), drawing standards
• Hand’s on experience in Engineering and Design, working with global partners, manufacturers, and manufacturing practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills and proficient communication skills
• Experience with semiconductor industry automation and equipment is a plus
• Experience in product design for commercial and or industrial devices
• Expertise in design, development, testing and debug.
• Lead engineering product line, manages all new product and product maintenance engineering activities
• Perform product engineering development and product support activities
• Perform engineering and design functions using Solidworks and Creo
• Participate as an engineering representative in company meetings outside engineering
• Set priority for project engineering
• Ensure specific engineering functional responsibilities
• Ensure project controls and engineering management systems
• Manage all technical aspects of engineering projects
